Highlights
The Okeanos Aggressor II liveaboard was built for comfort and stability to offer year-round diving at the remote islands of Costa Rica. The yacht provides comfortable accommodation for 24 guests in 12 en-suite cabins. Eight deluxe staterooms are located on the lower deck, and there is a double lower bed and twin upper bunk-style bed. On the main deck is the master stateroom with a queen bed, and on the upper deck are two suites that have either two twin beds or one king bed.
On the main deck is the ship's restaurant, where delicious cuisine with a varied and plentiful menu is served. Breakfast and lunches are buffet-style, and dinner is chef-prepared and served each evening. On the top deck is the BBQ and shaded cocktail bar, perfect for unwinding with fellow guests to discuss the spectacular diving of the day. Here, you can also find comfortable loungers to do some tanning in between dives.
The Okeanos II liveaboard departs from Puntarenas, Costa Rica for the 36-hour crossing to Costa Rica. Guests can enjoy up to 21 dives at the UNESCO World Heritage site for the chance of big fish encounters like nowhere else. Aside from the incredible diving, guests will also be taken ashore to hike through the jungles of Cocos and swim in the many waterfalls.

Fantastic trip and experience
We had amazing dives in Cocos with a great group and friendly staff. We saw lots and lots of hammerheads up close and personal. Excursions on land were fun. Food was plentiful and had a nice variety of options. Ride out was 41 hours and rough, but our ride back was 36 hours, smooth and sunny. Overall was a fantastic trip and experience. Cocos is truly a special place.

Terrific experneice
I'm going to use this space to provide what I hope is helpful commentary. As indicated by the ratings I gave, the experience was excellent. Two small things, though. The showers in the cabins are substandard. Don't know if this can be fixed/upgraded. Also, the exhaust from the engines and/or generator delivered a lot of soot to the back deck. Our feet were black, and the gear got dirty from it, too. Extend the exhaust pipe higher, or something?

Trip of a lifetime
The diving exceeded expectations, the crew was so hospitable and went out of their way to make sure we lacked for nothing, and the food was the best I've ever had on a liveaboard. The only criticism, is that the boat's common areas could use a little updating.

Probably one of the worst liveaboatds boats. I’ve been on in terms of dive deck space, camera table space. Literally people on top of each other while gearing up for each dive. Crew seemed to be in a

Great option for cocos!
The crew was very friendly and accommodating, food was excellent. Dives were safe and enjoyable. This is a great option to see cocos and more budget friendly than the alternatives.

Only if there is a good discount in the total price.
I traveled alone and I was lucky because people (divers) I met there were very friendly and easy-going. On the other hand we had very good dives, normal dives and not so good dives.

Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Unbelievable diving with bunches of sharks at every site. Because we were at the end of the dry season there was little rain and calm seas making for a pleasant crossing and opportunities to visit the island. Can't say enough about the crew, they are dedicated to making your experience an enjoyable one.

Great trip but we didn't get to dive enough.
Cocos is a world-class dive destination that is remote enough to still be well-preserved and not over-dived. The crew was fantastic, they were all very attentive to the guests at all times. The food was fantastic. The boat is comfortable but shows a little wear. My only complaint is that we only got 3 dives per day, or 21 over 7 full diving days. The website says to expect 3-4 per day (no night dives) or 23 total. There is a big time and money investment getting there, it would be nice to dive as much as possible, that's what we're there for. There was one diver in our group who had been on this same trip 2 months earlier and they had 23 dives, but we were told this is not allowed. With only 3 dives a day there is a lot of down time and not much else to do, so it would have been nice to max out the diving. I have been on 2 other Aggressor boats where we did 5 dives per day for 5.5 days, or 27 dives total - so more diving in less time and for much less expense. Something to consider... The diving itself was amazing about half the time, and so-so the other half due to some reduced visibility when storms churned up the water or just due to luck. There were lots of white-tips and many hammerheads, enormous schools of jacks and other fish, rays of all types, huge tuna, and coral in good condition. We saw one whale shark. Some in the group saw mantas and galapagos sharks; the tiger shark(s), if present, were elusive. Overall, I really liked everything about this trip and would highly recommend it, but they should have 4 dives per day instead of just 3.
