The Galaxy Diver II is a liveaboard taking 16 passengers on diving and naturalist trips around the Galapagos. There are 8 double cabins on board. Diving itineraries aboard the Galaxy Diver II include visits to world-renowned dive sites such as Carrion Point and Wolf Island, Shark Bay, El Arenal, Darwin’s Pillars (formerly Darwin's Arch), and Cousin Rock. Species commonly seen on such trips include hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, rays, Galapagos sharks, tiger sharks, and Orcas. Naturalist itineraries aboard the Galaxy Diver II take guests on unique wildlife spotting and sightseeing land excursions.

Guests will explore Sullivan Bay's preserved lava flows, encounter lizards and birds, and discover Rabida's red-sand beach, sea lions, and coastal cliffs teeming with wildlife. Observe the abundant marine iguana colony at Espinoza Point. Snorkel with fish and sea turtles. At Tagus Cove, guests can hike through Palo Santo forests, spot the endangered Galapagos martin, and snorkel with penguins. Generally speaking, it's a fantastic trip itself, if there are more dives arranged, and more dive guides the trip will be perfect. Despite some miscommunication and wrong information provided by liveaboard, the whole trip is very enjoyable.

Best vacation of my life.
An absolutely incredible experience. I took a chance due to few reviews and not being real sure about the official website, and am very glad I did! An absolutely amazing experience. We saw the whale shark, mola mola, red lipped bat fish, countless hammerheads, tons of spotted eagle rays, and more. Paolo and William were awesome guides finding pretty much everything you could ask for. They both took plenty of great photos as well and provided them for free. The food was outstanding. A lot of Ecuadorian food and a dessert with every meal. I was never hungry. The boat… wow. Is this how millionaires live? A beautiful luxury yacht and the crew cleaned cabin and made our beds in between every dive if we slept in them! A nice hot tub on the top deck. Everything was near spotless. The crew helped us doing literally every task we needed help with. Free very fast wifi from Starlink. I clocked over 60mbps in the middle of the ocean. You won’t regret booking it.

Most amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience!
I had a fantastic time on Galaxy Diver II. The absolute highlight for me (aside from the actual diving in Galapagos and all the animals we saw) are the dive guides and crew members. The dive guides Jorge and Paulo are really experts at what they do, they kept us safe under water and made sure we have the best experience possible. The crew on board were so so amazing - the entire operation is planned and organized so well, every person knows when and where they need to be and what they need to do. To the tiniest detail like unzipping our wetsuits when we get back on the boat, to checking our gear and keeping our rooms and common spaces clean. They are all so professional and incredibly sweet, always smiling and willing to help. Food was amazing and they accommodated various dietary restrictions. Hot towels and snacks after the dives were great. But my absolute favorite part was the pirate dance party the crew had for us when we passed the equator line!!

Exceptional from the moment we arrived in Ecuador. A Galaxy II representative met us at the Quito airport and personally guided us through every step of the document process and check‑in. This wasn’t something we expected, but it immediately set the tone for the level of care and professionalism that defines this operation. When we landed in Baltra, the Galaxy II staff were already waiting, greeting us warmly and handling all luggage and transfers with ease. Stepping onto the Galaxy II itself felt like entering a different world — spacious, beautifully maintained, spotless, and staffed by an incredibly friendly team who made it clear that their priority was for us to relax and feel at home. The safety briefing was thorough and reassuring, and the dive briefings throughout the week were clear, detailed, and delivered by dive masters who truly know the Galapagos. The diving, of course, is spectacular — everything you could hope to see in the Galapagos and more — but what made the trip extraordinary was the crew and the thoughtful amenities. Before every dive, someone was waiting with a tray of water glasses to keep us hydrated. The crew helped with every step of gearing up, getting into the pangas, even putting on our fins. After each dive, they were right there again, assisting us back onboard, rinsing and hanging wetsuits, and offering hot showers on the dive deck followed by warm towels from a heated cabinet, plus juice, water, and snacks. Staterooms were impressively large with excellent storage, linens refreshed frequently, and towels replaced every other day — or immediately if left on the floor. The common lounge was spacious and comfortable, and the two coffee machines were a crowd favorite, producing everything from espresso to cappuccino at the touch of a button. Meals were consistently excellent, with multiple options at dinner and a crew that genuinely wanted to accommodate every preference. If none of the choices suited you, they simply asked, ‘What can we make for you?’ The food was not only delicious but plated with real attention to presentation. You can dive the Galapagos with many operators and see the same wildlife, but the experience aboard the Galaxy II is on another level entirely. The professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail from the entire crew made this trip unforgettable. It’s hard to imagine a better way to experience the Galapagos.

I had prepared a long time in advance for this Galapagos liveaboard trip, and the Galaxy Diver2 completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment they boarded, every crew member – including the captain, dive guide, chef and even the logistics staff – showed meticulous service and made the entire journey feel warm. Every day is full of surprises, and every dive is unforgettable. The facilities on board are top-notch, and the clean and comfortable environment is reassuring, especially the purification of the toiletry water is in place (which is rare in this archipelago!). ）。 The diving team is not only skilled, but also vividly explains the unique geography and ecology of the Galapagos, making every time you go into the water, it feels like exploring a nature documentary. Even more surprising is the onboard food and 24-hour coffee service (their two professional coffee machines are definitely a commendation!). ）。 What touched me the most was the intention of the whole team - whether it was the captain's careful adjustment of the route to avoid wind and waves, or the hot towels handed over by the crew at any time, the details showed professionalism and care. Diving the Galapagos
The following is a letter I wrote to a passenger (also a travel agent) I traveled with the week before: Dearest Marianne, It is so nice to hear from you. First, of the 14 guests we had on board, not one was a drama queen, everybody acted their age. Ha ha. (Note: I was senior to all by about 25 years and I was the only American). They were from Australia (transplants from England), Germany, Spain, and France. Most spoke their native tongue, and Spanish and English. I thoroughly enjoyed their company while observing the minute cultural differences. Second, I would rate the trip an 8 or 9 when compared to the “naturalist” trip we took. As you know, the “naturalist” trip was chaulk full of minitrips, hiking, snorkeling and touring, and most educational about the environment and all. Most of the diving in the Galapagos can be found better elsewhere in the world. We did have some special moments with sea turtles and sea lions in and around the main islands. However, we did dive at Wolf and Darwin Islands, Darwin Arch specifically, both of which were spectacular, Darwin Island much more so though. Darwin Arch (now Pillars because the arch collapsed) is the flagship diving spot of the Galapagos. Besides seeing sea turtles and hundreds of hammerhead sharks, as well as other sharks, we encountered not one, not two, but six whale sharks. Most other places in the world, you are allowed to snorkel with the whale shark after chasing them a bit. But the whale shark always just swims away and you cannot keep up with it, then the chase begins again. Here though, we would dive to about 70 feet (about 21 meters) and lay on a ledge and wait for the whale shark to slowly swim by. This is what divers dream about. I shot video and posted the best on my Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/Fourteener ) if you care to see. All in all, I am totally happy with making both voyages on the Galaxy Diver II. Usually, when I travel to go diving I am glad I did it, but also happy to be heading home. While I still had these emotions when this trip ended, I was for the first time, actually tearfully sad because I had exceptionally good experiences and wouldn’t trade it for any other trip. These two weeks have been the flagship trip of my 70 years and I doubt any other trip can beat it. Thank you for getting back to me, I was sincerely surprised. I enjoyed our time together. Great experience
We had a great experience on the Galaxy Diver II. The crew is great. Very friendly, professional, well attuned to each other and do everything we can to make the trip as good as possible. The food was amazing. More than enough, after every dive fresh fruit and a local snack and breakfast/lunch/dinner really delicious and varied. We even got a ceviche workshop from the chef. The dives were great and the guides very good. The rooms were cleaned every day and the boat always looked neat.

Diving in the Galapagos once, who doesn't dream of it? For us, this dream has come true, and not too closely!The boat exceeded our expectations. Of course, everything looks very good in the photos, but there is also a bit of cheating. But with the Galaxy Driver II, everything was really right. The photos show exactly what you get:A luxurious cabin with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom (yes, bathroom, not wet room), a cozy salon, a very practical dive deck, exceptionally good food and top-class service.The entire crew, from the captain to the mechanic, helped at all times with drive and friendliness. Whether putting on the equipment or taking off the wet neoprene :-)) Everything worked like clockwork, you could only be amazed!Not all members of the crew spoke English, but with hands and feet or with the help of the dive guides, you could always communicate. They somehow read your wishes from your faces anyway. No wishes remained unfulfilled.The dive guides were very experienced and did a great job. We saw everything our hearts desired.But the guides not only gave their all under water, they were also always available to us on the boat. They gave short presentations about Galapagos, sharks or other topics on various evenings. A real added value!Within the crew, the harmony was clearly noticeable, which also rubbed off on the guests. All in all, we were a great group of guests, I wouldn't have expected.At the end of my song of praise I would like to highlight the desserts - they were (for me personally) each a highlight, luckily they were served twice a day :-))What I didn't like so much; the security aspect could have been done a little more pronounced. Of course, there was the emergency exercise before casting off, but it could have gone a little deeper. The same with the dives. There was always no information about what to do if... I know you may be reluctant to talk about these topics, but it is necessary.The negative entry of the Zodiac was demanded and also practiced, but with mistakes.You have to tell the divers again that "negative" does not mean meeting directly under the boat to sort yourself out. "Negative" means diving down immediately and you meet at the safe reef (where you can still follow the current). For this, it is necessary to agree on the depth at which they will meet and in which direction the reef is located. We traveled on the Galaxy Diver 2 in April 2025. The boat is excellent with very spacious cabins and bathrooms, good setup on the dive deck, high quality food, and plenty of space for lounging including a Jacuzzi. Dive guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Equipment is in good condition. Diving conditions were mixed in April, with low visibility and heavy surge at many of the dive sites, but we still had the opportunity to see hammerheads, dolphins, turtles, eagle rays, and sea lions. Overall I would recommend this boat.

Very fine experience with this top class crew and dive experts
Carlos and Javier were top class dive masters who expertly guided the guests through 19 exciting and always very safe dives on this week trip. They made the entire experience extremely enjoyable, and were terrific at sharing their knowledge which added considerably to each day. But the dive masters alone would not have been able to deliver such a brilliant but intense week without the first class crew aboard. Incredible team work and understanding of exactly what was required to make the week as good as it possibly could be for all guests aboard. This is hard to achieve and we were very grateful to everyone. The food was superb. Healthy, plentiful and lots of options. The boat was spacious and in good condition making this I think one of the finest experiences one could hope for as a privileged visitor to the magical world of the Galapagos.

Great trip, great boat & crew and amazing underwater experience
Was the best liveaboard we've ever done. New renovated vessel (most luxuary for us so far), even the small things were great like warmed towels after the dives and music when preparing for the dive and when getting onto the boat again after the dive. Everything well organized and of course last but not least: Galapagos under water is amazing! Never seen so many hammerheads. During the Darwin and Wolf dives it took maximum 3 minutes until we saw the first ones. It is more expensive than Egypt or Asia but it's a different trip and worth it cause of the vessel and obviously because of the marine life. One important point: there was kind of a confusion between liveaboard.com and the operator of the boat. The operator (I guess the headquarter/office) wanted to know in advance the size of the rental wetsuit which is kind of hard to tell without trying. Water can be cold especially in the western part of the islands and the wetsuit should fit... It turned out that there was plenty of equipment on the boat and trying different sizes was not a problem.

Unforgettable week - best diving of my life
Where to even start?! I cannot recommend this experience more. While I know wildlife is never a guarantee, we saw TWELVE (12!!!) whale sharks, hundreds of hammerheads, rays, dolphins, marine iguanas, sea lions, and more. The entire crew anticipated every possible need, and was really kind. One of the panga drivers was celebrating a birthday, and we all sang to him - and the chef made him a cake. The boat has just recently been refurbished and is spotless, spacious, and comfortable. After every dive, Jimmy was there with a warm towel. Carlos made sure we got to dive sites safely, and even the captain was helping with gear. The crew was an awesome team, and our guides Paolo and Jorge were super knowledgeable and fun to dive with. At every turn, there was a new surprise that made the trip even more special. I hopefully have a lot of great diving ahead of me, but I honestly am not sure how anything will ever top this experience. Cannot recommend this boat (and time of year - October) more for a Galapagos Liveaboard. Gracias a todos!

A shout out to the crew ,and dive guides. Without the exceptional treatment from Teo, Raul, Carlos, William, Paulo, the chef and his sous chef, and all the crew who I missed naming, the trip wouldn’t
The dive plans were well thought out. It was an ‘all hands on deck’ mindset for dive prep and post dive. Even the captain helped the divers get ready each time and with the wet suits after the dive. Meals and snacks were plentiful, beautiful presented and dietary restrictions respected.
