Great crew and experience, vessel in need of remodelling

The crew stood out in a very positive way—consistently friendly, professional, and clearly focused on safety. Cruise directors Aidan and Ben deserve particular credit. Our original itinerary had to be adjusted due to Cyclone Maila, and they handled the situation well, making a genuine effort to accommodate guests’ preferences despite the constraints and limited dive options. We even explored new sites which was wonderful! The food was excellent throughout the trip, and the group of fellow guests was exceptional—easily among the most interesting and engaging people I’ve met on a dive trip. The main downside is the boat itself. It feels outdated and in need of refurbishment. Cabin 1, located on the very lowest deck alongside the crew area, should not be used for guests—it lacks the comfort and separation expected on a liveaboard of that price. Additionally, the air conditioning in the common areas was not functioning properly, which made time spent there less comfortable. There also appeared to be no dedicated crew space, which contributed to a lack of separation between guest and crew areas and made areas appear crowded at times. Given that the pricing is comparable to premium destinations like the Galápagos, the level of comfort falls well below what would reasonably be expected at that price point. In summary: outstanding crew and memorable company, but the vessel does not currently meet the same standard and would benefit from significant upgrades.
