Great dive star and crew. Fun diving in the Similans and Koh Bon. Couldn't get to Richelieu.
We enjoyed our 5 day dive trip onboard the Manta Queen 1. Our intended itinerary (and our personal goal) took us to Richelieu Rock. Unfortunately, due to high winds and rough seas, we were not able to travel farther north than Koh Bon. This was a huge disappointment for us, however, we appreciated the crews' concerns for safety first. We experienced a little of the rough seas on one dive and the recovery was really dicey. So it was easy to see that the decision not to leave the protection of the Similan Islands and Koh Bon was sound. The diving in the Similan islands was fun but the things we saw were pretty common. We saw morays, turtles, crabs, lobsters, spearfish shrimp, lion fish and a nice variety of reef fish - my favorite new fish is the Oriental Sweetlips! Some areas had a tremendous amount of fish and that is always mesmerizing. On our last dive off of Koh Bon, we saw a Blotched Fantail Ray (also called a Marbled Ribbontail Ray). This was a very large stingray and really exciting to see! In the absence of Richelieu Rock, this made our dive trip. The Thai men who helped us divers get into the water each day (4 dives/day) were truly exceptional. The Thai women who cooked for us each day - also exceptional. The Dive Masters were very professional and safety conscious. They did everything they could to provide a good diving experience and keep us safe. The accommodations onboard the Manta Queen 1 are tight. We were in Cabin 9 which was forward and it was really, really tight. I think some of the other cabins had a little more space. I didn't think the beds were great and I didn't think I would sleep, but actually, after diving, I did.

Great company to dive with, good accommodations and awesome food.
Getting to know the Crew on the boat and getting to meet other divers from all over the world. Diving Richelieu and seeing the abundance of sea life there. Being vegan the chef was able to make delicious meals for me and always checked to see if they were okay. Amazing boat crew and dive crew Marja was awesome 👏

A great short liveaboard for the price
Large schools of fish at Richelieu Rock were cool to see. Getting to watch the larger fish hunt in big schools was really cool

World class diving and food
Trip far exceeded expectations. Been 1 night and miss it already. Diving was world class. Almost every dive offered something special but Richelieu Rock was probably my favorite with the most abundance of fish, healthy coral, and life. Too many specific things to name but a few of my personal favorites - peacock mantis shrimp and 1 spearing mantis shrimp, several octopus and cuddlefish, multiple pipefish and 1 seahorse, several huge Napoleon wrasse, large school of barracuda (maybe 500+), lots of different nudibranchs, getting swarmed by emperor snappers changing color while they fed, devil scorpionfish, tight swim throughs at Elephant Head Rock, and snorkeling with turtles hanging around the boat. Will post highlight footage on YouTube when I’m finished editing here: https://youtube.com/channel/UCDT6vq2aytmF-qzqnP9PE4A Outside of diving, every meal was exceptional and far better than the food I had on my other liveaboard experience. Crew was also great and I’m planning to book my next trip in Thailand with Manta Queen in the South. Hopefully I’ll be able to dive with some of the same faces :) - Sam

Great Trip to the Similans
We got a whale shark! And Richelieu Rock is a must see dive site -- so glad this trip does three dives there.

Incredible Diving Trip
My boyfriend and I had an incredible dive trip. This was our first liveaboard trip and we are only open water certified. We took the deep adventure course during this trip, which I would highly recommend to those who are not advanced open water certified. Our dive guide Colin was awesome. He made us feel safe and comfortable and brought us to see the most interesting things at each dive site. After each dive he did a quick debrief with us about which fish we had seen and helped us identify the fish we didn't know. The dives themselves were incredible, with vibrantly colored coral and tons of fish. We enjoyed clownfish, butterfly fish, morrish idols, triggerfish, an octopus, barracuda, puffer fish, nudibranch, moray eels, a sea turtle, a fleeting manta ray and so much more. Although we did not see a whale shark, we were not at all disappointed with the dives on this trip. I would recommend it to anyone.

A unforgetable one-in-a-lifetime experience i would recommend everyone!
During the day we were able to spend a lot of time underwater and explore the diving world. At night, the starry sky, which you can't get enough of while lying on the sun deck. As well as sharing your experiences with the other divers.
