Operativa dal 1998, la MY Resolute è una delle imbarcazioni liveaboard più longeve nelle Filippine. Con un equipaggio altamente esperto a bordo, la barca visita Tubbataha da marzo a giugno. Questo sito patrimonio dell'UNESCO offre condizioni di immersione incontaminate e avvistamenti di squali in quasi ogni immersione, con la possibilità di incontrare squali pinna bianca, squali grigi di barriera, squali nutrice e squali martello. Da luglio a ottobre, la M/Y Resolute si sposta sull’isola di Cebu per le immersioni nei Visayas, dove è possibile vedere squali balena, squali volpe e creature colorate. La nave poi naviga verso Apo Reef, offrendo la possibilità di immergersi con squali martello, squali di barriera e altri abitanti pelagici.
Fuori dall’acqua, la MY Resolute liveaboard accoglie solo 16 ospiti. Ci sono 8 cabine confortevoli disponibili, ciascuna con aria condizionata regolabile e bagni privati. I pasti vengono serviti nella sala da pranzo all'aperto, e la cena è solitamente un buffet di cinque portate, che include 2 piatti di carne, 1 di pesce, zuppa e verdure. Le esigenze dietetiche speciali vengono soddisfatte previo avviso. La prua della nave offre sdraio ed è un ottimo posto per prendere il sole, mentre il salone interno è una zona fresca con un sistema di intrattenimento e una sala per fotocamere. L'ampio ponte per immersioni si trova nella parte posteriore della barca e offre spazio sufficiente per prepararsi all'immersione e per lo stoccaggio dell’attrezzatura personale.

Casual boat. Good crew. Good diving.
We had good weather and decent diving for the week. Saw mantas, large schools of bumphead parrotfish, many nurse and white tip sharks and schools of barracuda. In most places the reef looked amazingly healthy. Overall, the crew was very helpful and friendly. Boat was a little cramped at times but generally it was a good boat to be on.

Resolutely Wonderful!
The diving was ok. We didn’t have the best conditions. But saw a few manta and some sharks. Highlight was the boat and her crew. One of the better liveaboards I’ve been on.

Tolle Tour mit top Tauchgängen. Es gab viel zu sehen wie Dugong, Wracks, Apo Reef war echt klasse. Gemütliches Boot. Das Essen war sehr gut.

La plongée aux Philippines est vraiment très belle
Hormis le fait qu'en raison d'une panne de l'un des équipements du bateau, nous n'avons pas pu terminer le programme de plongée prévu, les plongées ont été très bonnes.

I like to go again
The season was almost end and wether was not so good such as rainy and windy, but under water it was still good and enjoyed nice divings. After diving good foods ware waiting for us. The staff and crews are frendry and help us any time. The boat is old, but well maintained and cleaned.

Great crew and amazing dives
Tubbataha, as expected, was amazing. Healthy corals, mantas, hammerheads, hundreds of reef sharks, and large schools of jacks. This was the perfect start to a lifelong of liveaboard trips. The crew was super friendly and helpful both on deck and underwater. Karla, the ship manager, made sure everyone felt cared for, setting a positive vibe for the whole trip. The dive masters were pros but also gave us some freedom to explore around (safety first, of course). The Nitox mixed on board was spot on, with around 31/32 PPO2 for every tank. The food options were so diverse and so tasty that you wouldn't believe it was served on a boat. The cabins were a bit snug, and I did bump my head a few times on the upper bunk. Plus, there was a funky smell, but it didn't bother me that much because I was so wiped out after all those incredible dives. If you're prone to seasickness, take note that Resolute isn't a huge vessel, so you might feel the waves more. Overall, the trip was absolutely unforgettable, and I would definitely recommend Resolute.

Awesome diving and the best liveaboard experience
As expected, diving in Tubbataha was amazing. Healthy coral reefs with thousands of fishes, sharks and mantas. They are doing a great job protecting and managing these reefs! In addition, everything was excellent on board. Starting with the food: I'm vegetarian and they prepared delicious vegetarian food for us in every meal. I loved that the food is served on an exterior covered deck (instead of having lunch and dinner inside the boat as in other liveaboards), and the upper deck is great for taking naps! The Resolute has a lot of space to chill between dives and spacious cabins with comfy beds. The crew was also 5 stars, helpful and friendly, and the dives were really well guided with our safety being always the first priority. So what else do you want? 200% recommended!

Overall, it was an unforgettably beautiful journey with Resolute. My friend who already had a trip with them before recommended me to go together this time. I could see why. We love the crew. All diving crews in LiveAboard tend to be happy and nice but it felt beyond that. Ernie had been always checking whether we felt alright, Bob is a fully trustable divemaster, and Karla's been such an attentive sweetheart. They've made customized cakes to congratulate my friend's birthday (vegan) and one person who had his 100th dive. One thing to take into consideration is that the sea is quite turbulent and most of us went through some sea-sickness at least once. But that didn't stop us from eating, because the food was sooooo good. I was impressed with myself for continuing to eat despite being almost flown away from the deck (a bit exaggerated). That's how good the food was..! You will get fat in this trip. We saw lots of tropical fish - my favorite clown triggerfish was seen multiple times, massive turtles, sharks, rays, flamboyant cuttlefish, seahorses, so many nudibranches, lobster, bumphead, barracudas, pufferfish, lionfish, catfish, etc - oh not to forget the dugong! Only one downside of this trip is that compared to the other LiveAboard trip I had with Andaman, this time I had to pay separately for all the rental gears per day - which was around 300 USD in total. The cost was all included in Andaman. Ah, also bear in mind that you would have to get a taxi from airport to the pier which takes around 2.5 hours (one-way) and 273 USD (roundtrip, can be shared among three to four people). Other than that I can confidently say that I loved the trip. I'm very much interested in Resolute's trip to Tubbataha too. I heard you'll see so many sharks that you won't even get that impressed seeing one anymore. Hope to see you again soon! xoxo
