De Carpe Diem is ontworpen voor kleine groepen en individuen die houden van een gepersonaliseerde service. Het schip biedt gedurende het hele jaar duikreizen aan naar Raja Ampat en Komodo National Park. Er zijn enkel 4 cabines beschikbaar met een maximum van 8 gasten aan boord. De Nutmeg cabine is een grote tweepersoonscabine die gelegen is op het hoofddek en bijna even breed is als de boot zelf. Deze cabine heeft grote ramen, een dakraam en genoeg opbergruimte. Op het benedendek bevind zich de Clove cabine met twee eenpersoonsbedden die op verzoek omgebouwd kunnen worden tot een tweepersoonsbed. Daarnaast bevinden de Pandan en Cinnamon cabines zich ook op het benedendek. Deze cabines zijn met haar tweepersoons- en een eenpersoonsbed geschikt als driepersoonskamers. De cabines op het benedendek hebben daglicht en ventilatie via een patrijspoort. Daarnaast hebben alle cabines en-suite badkamers en individueel geregelde airconditioning.
Aan sociale ruimtes is onder andere een netjes ingerichte salon aanwezig, waar met gemak 8 personen rond de grote tafel geplaatst kunnen worden. Hier worden iedere dag verse en lokale gerechten geserveerd. Er kan, indien vooraf doorgegeven, rekening worden gehouden met dieetwensen of allergieën.
De reizen van de Carpe Diem varen van november tot april langs Raja Ampat, van mei tot september naar Komodo en tussendoor naar Ambon, de Banda-eilanden en Zuid-Raja Ampat. De duikgroepen worden klein gehouden en iedere duik wordt begeleid door gekwalificeerde duikgidsen met lokale kennis. Het gebruik van de duikuitrusting zit bij de prijs inbegrepen.

Incredible dive trip!
The crew and service of this liveaboard are by far the best that I’ve experienced in the diving community. Cecile, Agus, Martin, and the rest of the crew are nothing but the best and made sure that every guest had the best time in terms of diving, food, and comfort on the boat. I’ve been on many liveaboards, dive centers and resorts and they provided the absolute best service and diving I’ve experienced. Their mission is to provide the best and they live up to it. I can’t compliment each and every member of their crew enough!

Fantastic Southern Raja Ampat Experience
I recently completed a Southern Raja Ampat liveaboard trip, and it was absolutely amazing! Every single dive exceeded my expectations, with top-notch marine life and beautiful underwater scenery. Although currents can be strong in some areas, the boat’s expert dive timing and guides made it manageable and safe. From pre-booking communication right through to disembarkation, the entire process was smooth. I particularly enjoyed the food, which offered a tasty blend of Indonesian dishes and other cuisines. My cabin and bathroom were spacious and impeccably clean, and it was clear that the boat itself is well-maintained and in excellent condition. One of the standout aspects was having the owner onboard as both cruise director and dive guide. This personal touch made the experience even more special, as there was no disconnect or “middle management” in the mix. My only small regret was the lack of nitrox availability. Initially, I was worried about shorter bottom times and feeling extra fatigued due to multiple dives on standard air. However, because most of the dive sites weren’t extremely deep, I found that not having nitrox wasn’t a significant issue—and I’d still happily do another trip without it. Overall, I can’t recommend this Southern Raja Ampat liveaboard highly enough. It’s a wonderful choice if you’re looking for well-organized diving, top-tier service, and a truly personal onboard experience. I’m already looking forward to my next adventure with them!

- Insanely good dives (This is no accident. The cruise director and dive guides made it happen!). The boat is super clean, comfortable, and very well-maintained. The traditional wooden construction has a lovely warmth to it without feeling old/janky. The staff keep things running super smooth from tasty food to cleaning to dive ops..

Absolutely amazing dives and experience
Challenging myself with harder dives than I’ve ever done before. The crew were excellent teachers and really helped accommodate all on board by picking dive sights suitable to everyone’s skill levels to the best of their ability

Poor dive gear rental, bring your own or rent somewhere else.
The 5 other guests were delightful nice people and good divers. Most of the crew members of the boat were helpful and friendly. We had gone on this trip to dive with whale sharks and the only time we did that was when they were being fed fish by the crew for 2 hours. The dive sites from Kaimana were poor compared to Raja Ampat. Generally we felt disappointed.

Trip of a lifetime
Highlights was waking up on the boat to epic scenery; diving with plentiful variety of coral, fish, sharks and mantas. The boat was beautiful. 0 day Itinerary covered all of Raja Ampat was perfect. Safey was always #1. Food was delicious and plentiful. Hard working crew

Fun, full-service trip through central Raja Ampat - five stars!
1) Of course the dive sites themselves are amazing and full of discoveries, but also the dive prep is made so easy by the crew & guides. Even if you bring your own equipment, everything is set up for you for each dive - all you have to do is walk onto the dinghy and your gear is ready to go. Plus the pre-dive briefings include details about currents, descent plan, and what creatures to look for. This was our first time diving in Raja Ampat, and it couldn't have been better. 2) The food prepared by the crew was so delicious and plentiful! There's a good mix of western and asian dishes, tons of fresh fruit, and any dietary restrictions are readily seen to with prior notice. 3) Our cabin was cozy and functional - private toilet, A/C, hot shower, and plenty of storage space. We were provided a shower towel and a beach towel, which were refreshed during the trip. A nice touch was that all of our personal items (reuseable water bottle, beach towel, wetsuit, etc) were tagged with guest names to avoid any confusion. 4) Great friendly feeling onboard due to small group of guests. Our cruise included 7 travelers, 2 dive guides, and the crew. One of the boat's owners, Cecile, acted as a dive guide throughout our trip. She was very easy to talk to and answered any of our questions about the Carpe Diem, Raja Ampat, and Indonesia in general. She also arranged for our return ferry tickets to be purchased ahead of time and helped some guests coordinate with their subsequent homestays. These personal touches really added to the overall experience. Overall, we loved it and would recommend to anyone wanting to dive in Raja Ampat. Hopefully, we can take another trip with Carpe Diem!
