Highlights
The Amalia Komodo is a 29-meter/95-feet-long phinisi liveaboard taking 11 guests on diving safaris in Komodo, Indonesia. There are 5 cabins on board: 2 double en-suite, 2 twin bunk rooms, and 1 family cabin. The twin and family cabins share a bathroom. The cabins boast natural ventilation and a fresh nautical theme with ample storage space. The sun deck is on the upper deck and is complete with sunbeds that offer a sunbathing opportunity in the daytime and a stargazing experience at night. Freshly squeezed juice, hot ginger tea, and ice-cold water are always available on board.
The liveaboard's schedule offers North and South options, depending on the season, with 11 dives (including a night dive) and trekking opportunities to see Komodo Dragons, Pink Beach, and Padar Hike. Experience the thrill of diving at Crystal Rock and watching schools of Grey Sharks on the prowl. Trek across Rinca to look for Komodo Dragons. There are opportunities for snorkeling, paddleboarding, and soaking up the sun on the spacious sun deck.

Overall experience was great. Highly recommend for solo travelers or couples or families. If you enjoy diving there's no better way to spend a week.

- Amazing dive sites. Throughout the trips we visited some of the best reefs I've ever seen, beautiful corals and fish.. Great crew on board. Really made us all feel at home and we had a lot of fun with them. Delicious Vegan Food! We were a little skeptical because people often don't understand veganism but they were fully prepared and chefed up great food throughout the trip..

Exceeded my expectations!!
TLDR: 24yo female solo traveler, 4D3N Liveaboard, amazing staff and beautiful dives!! I went on the 4 day/ 3 night Amalia Liveaboard towards the end of June 2024 and was so glad I did. Everyone at Uber Scuba made my experience so easy, I had nothing to worry about, my sole job was to enjoy myself! The boat is beautiful and the entire staff/ crew is so warm and welcoming. It’s clear that our dive masters (Rian, France, and Venan) were not there simply because it was their “job,” rather, it’s their passion and they love making others fall in love with the ocean as much as they are. Chef Yansen serves us fresh food after every dive. Captain Hassan always greeted us and hung out with us during down time. We would sing songs on the guitar with other crew members. Aside from the incredible diving, the Liveaboard was a beautiful experience because of all the people at Uber Scuba that create such a fun and loving environment. As a solo traveler, I felt like I had a temporary family and I appreciated that a lot :) Diving wise, I always felt ready, safe, and prepared with the equipment and briefings before each dive. The biodiversity was STUNNING. Both macro and micro. Sharks, turtles, nudis, shrimp, octopus… but as my friend Ben said, “the ‘normal’ little fish can be just as beautiful and amazing as everything else.” While you can easily just do day trips for diving, the Liveaboard was nice because it takes away most of the travel time and you can be the only group or the first group at what would normally be a busy dive site. I feel so lucky to have this experience, thank you Uber Scuba, you guys are the best 🫶🏼

Wonderful and Amazing First Live Aboard Experience
A spectacular five day live aboard for myself and fiancé (who just received her Advanced Open Water in Bali) around the waters of Komodo National Park. The rich coral and fish diversity made almost every dive, 15 in total, a wonderful experience. Highlights of the trip were: the short excursion to visit the famed Komodo dragons (we spotted seven of them) and the Manta Ray alley, where we saw over ten of the beautiful creatures, one swimming directly over us. An amazing experience above and below the water. This was our first live aboard and overall was a 10/10 experience. Not only were the other passengers an eclectic and interesting group, the boat staff and our underwater navigator/divemaster were professional and got the job accomplished, that is providing remarkable safe dives with abundant and terrific meals above the water. Many times, the captain of the vessel pitched in to help us out gearing up or getting in and out of the boats. A shout out to our divemaster Tarsi. His ability to not only navigate around some of the finest coral reefs in the world was appreciated; he also pointed out the most obscure and smallest of maritime creatures. In addition, he, and the rest of the boat’s crew and divemasters/instructor, were always diligent about the safety of the passengers. All dives were well planned and explained in detail pre-dives. We always felt confident on the nautical and diving professional staff. Will be back.

Fantastic liveaboard, book now :)
Amazing experience, the staff was super friendly and everything went smooth. Great dives with our very experienced dive master Venan and the others. Captain Hassan and the rest of the crew were also just amazingly friendly. Every need was taken care of by the crew who went above and beyond any expectations. I can highly recommend this liveaboard.

Topbestemming en topcrew! De mooiste kennismaking met een liveaboard die we ons maar hadden kunnen wensen.
Van begin tot eind was alles fantastisch. Het was onze eerste liveaboard, en direct een geweldige ervaring mede door de crew van de Amalia. De duiken zijn enorm gevarieerd, het koraal overweldigend mooi, de kapitein wist ons overal te brengen. Met als hoogtepunt toch ook wel Manta Alley, South Komodo, wat eigenlijk niet eens op het programma stond. De internationale groep was ook gezellig. De onderlinge sfeer is zeer goed, het is een geoliede samenwerking. Voor mij moest er vanwege gezondheidsredenen extra gesjouwd worden, zonder iets te vragen, werd dat gedaan. Ze zagen dat zelf en gingen dat gewoon doen. Onder water ondanks de heftige stromingen hebben we ons altijd veilig gevoeld door Rian de eindverantwoordelijke voor het duiken en de liveaboard en onze instructeur. Voor ons was het de eerste keer dat we aan haken hingen. We kunnen het iedere duiker aanraden: ga duiken in Komodo National Park en doe dat met Uber Scuba Amalia Liveaboard. Zij zorgen voor en onvergetelijke ervaring, in dit overweldigend mooie park.
