La última incorporación a la flota Nautilus es el Nautilus Under Sea de 27m de eslora que ofrece tours de buceo espectaculares en la Isla Socorro, México. Este barco solía estar destinado a la investigación y participó en la misión Deep Rover con la Dra. Silvia Earle, al igual que en muchas misiones de investigación y fotografía, el antes llamado Under Sea Hunter ha sido ahora reubicado en México. Además, fue barco de soporte en la película de James Bond "Licencia para matar". Contiene 8 camarotes con baño privado y aire acondicionado que pueden acomodar a un total de 17 pasajeros. El Undersea Hunter también tiene mucho espacio para la relajación, con cómodas áreas de descanso y comedores y un amplio solarium.
La cubierta de buceadores ofrece sitio de sobra para equiparse y guardar el equipo, además de espacios para guardar equipos de grabación. Al bucear en la Isla Socorro, los buceadores se encontrar cara a cara con las Mantas Gigantes del Pacífico. ¡La más amistosas del mundo! También veremos hasta 10 especies distintas de tiburones, delfines, tiburones ballena, martillo, y ballenas jorobadas. Very Good cheerful hard-working crew. Good service. Reliable schedules, food, accomodations.
General experience with accomodation and dive service was very good. The boat is a little old- occasionally spews greasy engine exhaust junk across top deck (occasional dirty feet and deck power washing). Dive profiles are not my favorite but no big complaint- largely split between playing with sea lions at 15', maybe 4 (standard govt-planted) wrecks at 40-60', and transition along the 60-80' bottom to look into blue deepwater for big creatures. Our group got glimpses of a few distant hammerheads and a few distant manta rays. A liittle much for me all the shallow playing with sea lions and deep water staring into the blue for my taste but there is alot of good fish and coral life to see along the way. The group seemed pretty happy overall with the dives. One afternoon we got aerial guidance and went to Orcas- from RHIBs we were dropped into them a few times for a momentary swim as they went by- it was brief but exciting closeup look,

A must do trip for divers!
Even though the water was a bit chilly this liveaboard was a trip that I’d definitely want to do again and again. The crew worked together so well. It was like we were all a family by the end of the week. The food was delicious. The mantas and the sharks and the dolphins were incredible. At times I wondered if it was all real. The hot tub on top is a nice treat.

Amazing dolphin encounters
PRO: amazing wildlife sightings and interactions, mantas on every dive. Interacting with the dolphins are what dreams are made of! Saw school of hammerhead sharks. Amazing crew (Idris, Alicia). Most dive guides were attentive and excited to point out wildlife. Hot tub was a plus after cold dives CON: older boat, something was always broken (hydraulics for the anchor, clogged toilets, broken ice maker and water dispense), 9 crew for 18 ppl so no one was helping us put our gear on, first liveaboard that didn't clean your room daily even when we had ppl who got sick with norovirus on the trip, food was average

Awesome crew, amazing diving, and well run operation.
Dolphins, hammerheads, tiger shark, mantas, and the wonderfully friendly crew. The food was good. The top deck can get a little fumey while motoring, so I'd encourage the boat to raise the smokestack or otherwise get creative with the exhaust fumes so that its more comfortable to hang out while motoring.

The ship and the crew made for a wonderfully delightful dive trip experience.
Of course, the CALIFORNIA SEA LIONS!!! Such beautiful animals. They are comfortable with divers and getting to experience them up close and personal is something i'll remember until my dying day.

- I can't say enough about the care that the crew showed for all of us on board. Everyone was incredibly attentive to my needs. The food, dive guides, captain and steward were, not only incredibly competent, but carried out their duties with a care to detail and fun loving attitudes. Really, a fantastic trip.

White shark express
The crew went out of their way to make your experience a fantastic and memorable one. The opportunity to see multiple white sharks from up close was amazing. There was never a wait to get into a cage so you could essentially soak as long as you wanted to! Would recommend this trip and boat.

amazing crew that went above and beyond
Nautilus Under Sea is a very comfortable boat, with nice cabins, lots of storage space and very nice bathrooms in cabins. Diving deck organization was perfect, enough space for everyone, large table for cameras. The diving crew was very helpful, enthusiastic, and managed the diving part in an extremely safe and organized manner. Even when the diving conditions were difficult because of the weather, they expertly got everyone in and out of skiffs. All in all, amazing experience of diving with mantas, dolphins, Galapagos, silky sharks and other marine life, which is abundant in the Socorro.
