Mermaid I solid dive Liveaboard to go with!
Verry clean boat! Had a conscientious trip leader who always coordinated with other boats dive schedule at sites. Definitely appreciated the long 70+ min dive times. Schedule had only one night dive but would be neat to see coral spawning. very clean boat conscientious trip leader coordination to avoid other dive boats at sites appreciated long 70+ min dive times. Only one night dive but would have been neat to see coral spawning. Smaller dive deck, but split groups to prepare, four guests to a guide. Food variety better than most liveaboards, had starlink limit to 3 gb great! Banda fort visit was cool.

Bali to Komodo and Back
This was a combination trip in between macro muck diving on volcanic island shores and several big life dives with Mantas , whale sharks and lots of turtles And very few sharks I enjoyed it

Diverse dive sites, did a lot of night dives and macro dives. Didn’t see too much Pelagics. The rooms are small and the food was ok. Long surface intervals between each dive

Amazing First-Time LiveAboard Experience
Being pampered was an unexpected luxury that set the bar pretty high for future dive trips... the crew was amazing! Swimming with Manta Rays, Whale Sharks, Reef Sharks, Sting Rays, Seahorses, and the thousand species of fish was an unforgettable experience! Hanging out with Komodo Dragons was also a plus! The Mermaid I and her crew WILL NOT disappoint!! Highly recommended by this first-time LiveAboard diver!!

Awesome crew with AMAZING diving.
The highlight of the trip was 3 divers, including myself, spending 20 minutes within touching distance with an enormous Oceanic Manta Ray on my birthday. Amazing, awesome and incredible don't even begin accurately describe the feelings you get when you are in the presence of such a beautiful creature.

Absolutely Fabulous!
My daughter and I went on the Mermaid 1 for a 10 day trip to Komodo. Everyone involved was genuinely friendly, fun, helpful, informative, and hard working! The entire dive crew were awesome! Everyone was quick to help you with all the diving details - from getting ready (zipping wetsuits), locating gear, getting on the dingy (Helping get on and putting your fins on for you), getting into the dingy after the dive, and getting off the dingy (Unzipping, Cleaning your wetsuit and gear). The diving itself was obviously fantastic. The food was delicious! It was obvious that everyone genuinely wanted every guest to be happy and have the best time in all facets of the trip! I highly recommend!

Food was amazing! Crew was amazing. Getting massage was good. Cruise director was extraordinary. Guides also great. For me the diving was not as good as expected but still nice. Maybe to much super macro for me. Definitely your beautiful healthy coral was a pleasure to see. Also lots of trash under and on top of the water. If I come back to Indonesia I would definitely do Mermaid. Top notch all the way! 100% recommend.

Mermaid 1 for lots of fun!
Knock, knock...”morning! dive briefing” shouts sweet divemaster Rebecca at our cabin door. We eagerly assemble for continental breakfast & PowerPoint presentation of our next dive site. Cruise director, Joss, talks about what we might see on this dive...no promises, but wow Raja Ampat delivers! Giant mantas, crocodile fish, walking shark, swirling schools of barracuda, massive bumphead parrotfish & striped sweetlips, crazy changing-color cuttlefish, turtles, octopus, wobbegong sharks and much more! We’re on the safety stop of the 1st dive of the day, my computer says it’s only 8:15a and a full breakfast will be ready after a hot shower on deck. If your hair is dry...it’s time to dive, if your hair is wet...it’s time to eat & repeat. The night dives were full of action & our divemaster, Imam, was skilled at finding the unusual critters! Returning to the boat, stewardess, Destry, serves us hot chocolate with a smile. We had 29 amazing dives on our nine night cruise. The helpful Mermaid crew is upbeat, professional & the small ship is very comfortable. Master cabin was worth the upgrade, but deluxe cabins looked fine too. Fun excursion to lookout point to view several islands was worth the climb. We highly recommend the Mermaid 1 ship and look forward to another liveaboard trip with them.
