Highlights
The Sea Dragon is a 30-meter/100ft liveaboard taking 22 guests on dive safaris in the Red Sea. The Sea Dragon sails from Hurghada and has 11 cabins, all with individually controlled air conditioning and private bathrooms with showers. Features on board the Sea Dragon include comfortable and spacious sun decks, a camera station, daily housekeeping, audio, and video entertainment, and a library. The crew speaks English, German, and French, and having a naturalist guide on board, means guests get to learn about the local wildlife they will find on their dives.
On board the Sea Dragon liveaboard, there will be welcome cocktails, and guests will enjoy delicious food, from western and vegetarian cuisine options to BBQ and al fresco dining. Vegetarian and vegan options are available for those with specific dietary requirements. The buffet-style dining means there is something for everyone, and snacks and drinks are available all day long. Soft drinks are complimentary, and guests can purchase beer and wine on board. Best 4 days!
I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone. The staff onboard delivered the highest standard of service and were so friendly. The Egyptian hospitality was felt in every aspect of being on this boat from the food, to getting gear set up, to the guides showing us their ocean home underwater. The Red Sea is spectacular, but with the combination of an amazing group of people on the boat and amazing staff, this was the highlight of my solo travel trip for the last 6 months. I wish I would have done a longer tour with them! I will be back!

Decent liiveaboard, but below par in some areas.
The boat can carry 22 guest. We only had 10 and that was about the right size for this boat. First the good: The single cabin was nice with individual A/C controls and in-suite bathroom. The diving was pretty easy diving with only a few currents. Diving was primarily done from the boat's platform and reentry also back to the boat. There are 4 dives a day with the first at 6:00am. Now the not so great: Some of these seem minor, but over the course of a week were felt. One beach type towel issued up front. this would be the only towel available all week for after diving and/or showers. No food available prior to the first dive. Diner served after night dive which ended around 8:00pm. Only cleaned my cabin one time the week after asking. The head dive guide seemed irritated much of the time an snapped at folks. The other guide had a better personality. the second guide did not always follow the dive briefing plan. He would initially go with the current, then have to swim against the current back to the boat. the food was fair at best. A few dinners there was not a meat dish at all. Lots of rice and noodles. At the dive sites, it was not uncommon to be with 6 to 8 other boats. You go on a liveaboard to go where others are not. The Red Sea is a close destination for Europeans, but for those from North America, it is a long way for so so diving and accommodations. Overall a C+ trip.

Amelie Adventures y su buena gente
Buscábamos una primera experiencia de vida a bordo tranquila aunque ya teníamos nivel Advanced, y elegimos el Sea Dragon para hacer la ruta Best of Hurghada (aunque por necesidades operativas nos cambiaron al Amelie Adventures). Simplemente EXCELENTE. Aunque el barco no es para nada nuevo, sí es cómodo y las inmersiones asequibles para todos los niveles, gracias especialmente al trato de los divemasters (con quien más buceamos , Wessam , es un 10). Los marineros y cocineros amables y eficientes, la comida buena y suficientemente variada. Y la suerte de tener un grupo variado dónde todos tenían su espacio tanto para compartir como aislarse. ¡Gracias!

The best thing that happened to me was swimming with the dolphins.
I came with friends to dive, I understand that they have to save money, but to only swim near the shore of Hurghada and do 3 dives in the same place is overkill.

Good first liveaboard - could be improved if they paid attention more on small details
We were put to Amelie advebtures saying that sea dragon had technical issues - but we saw sea dragon also leaving for safari :( Amelie was a much older boat, and our cabin was extremely noisy next to the engine room. Wifi was poor. On the plus side the crew was extremely kind, and our dive guide Wessam was very passionate. We had a nice group on board too. We saw dolphines, eagle ray and sea turtles.

Umbuchung auf anderes Boot
Zuerst: Wir hatten die Sea Dragon gebucht, welche wegen technischen Problemen nicht fahren konnten, weshalb wir zum selben Preis auf ein anderes (älteres) Boot umgebucht wurden. Deshalb auch nur 3 Sterne für Preis-Leistung und Boot. Die Crew wie auch die Tauchlehrer wahren fantastisch und gingen auf uns alle passend ein. Es war eine wunderschöne Woche mit tollen Tauchgängen, bei welchen wir sogar 3x Delfine sahen. Die Reise wird uns in toller Erinnerung bleiben. Auch das Essen war sehr lecker und auch für vegies immer etwas dabei.

Croisière de plongée en mer rouge
Je m'étais inscrit pour cette croisière, pour passer mon open water. C'était vraiment génial, mon formateur a été au top, ainsi que toute l'équipe des guides de plongée. Les sites de plongée sont magnifiques. Toute l'équipe du bateau, et l'équipement du matériel sont conformes à ce que j'attendais et mon permis de passer d'excellentes vacances. Je vous recommande ce séjour.
