Blackbeard's Morning Star liveaboard offers year-round budget-friendly dive liveaboard trips to the world-renowned dive sites of the Bahamas. She is the identical twin to Blackbeard's Sea Explorer, part of the Blackbeard's Fleet. Morning Star has 3 dormitory-style cabins, which are either single or double bunk beds and have a privacy curtain. Each dorm cabin is air-conditioned, and there are 3 shared bathrooms. In between dives, guests can relax on the bow or hang out with other guests in the indoor air-conditioned salon, and all meals, snacks, and drinks, including Rum Punch, wine, and beer, are included during your stay.
Morning Star dive trips explore the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Exuma Cays. There is no set itinerary; the captain and crew will take you wherever the conditions and weather are good to offer you the best diving in the area. With over 250 moored dives sites there is something for everyone. From thrilling shark dives, stunning walls, blue holes, and high-speed drift dives this truly is the best of the Bahamas. With up to 19 dives per week available, Blackbeard's Morning Star liveaboard truly does offer great value for money.

We Can’t Wait to Do This Again!
My two adult sons, my grandson, and I came on this trip together. While the accommodations, bathrooms, and a lone shower were a little like camping at sea, the food was absolutely beyond anything we could have expected. The crew were so hardworking and professional yet incredibly friendly and fun. The diving was great. Such wonderful dive sites with such variety. When we were at the airport headed home all of my boys wanted to know when we were going to do this again. This trip was well worth every penny.

Best value for money in the Americas
Diving is an expensive sport and specially liveaboards can be very expensive. If you enjoy diving and would like to dive often nothing comes close to Blackbeard's in the entire Americas. For a little over a 1000 bucks + fees and gratuities, this is the best diving experience money can buy. The living quarters are not luxurious and the boat age shows in toilets (marine heads) clogging frequently, but if you are willing to accept that, everything else is designed to work. In 5 days you will get trained like a soldier. You will dive 4 times a day including one night dive, eat sumptuously, and sleep like an island (I mean a rock). You will learn the art of sharing and managing limited resources all while basking in the sun on the boat deck. Hop on the journey! You will be glad you did!

i have learned a lot and dove a lot
it was fantastic! boat is clean and crew are friendly and open. diving as expected and 4 dives a day it is a lot and what are we looking for! Thank you to capitan and crew, i have learned a lot and dove a lot. will bring warm swimsuit next time.

Sea Explorer was amazing.
Captain Sophie and her crew did an amazing job. I was unsure about going on a smaller boat but the crew did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and safe. So worth the money!

Great trip made better by the amazing crew
We had a rough week with the unknown trajectory of hurricane Milton. Captain Sophie did a great job reworking plans to make sure we were able to get in as many dives as possible. Tom and Barry were very nice and a wealth of knowledge. Eli was a great personality for the boat and really did an amazing job answering our many questions. My 12 yr old got his 100th dive on this trip and the crew really appreciated and help him celebrate that milestone. Captain Chris was really great working with all of us but was a steady presence and his experience and personality really helped everyone stay calm with the unknowns of the weather.

This is THE boat for people who LOVE diving!
Budget liveaboard that attracts the absolute best divers who only care about one thing: diving! I met some of the best divers on board and the camaraderie is unmatched! Doesn't matter how much experience you have with diving, you'll have a place on the boat! Divers helping other divers bettering diving skills! The food was excellent. Our cook, Gunnar, is an outstanding chef! You can taste the love in all of his food. The boat crew was so fun, friendly and professional! People keep on coming back to do their annual dive trip with Blackbeard's liveaboard, and now I know exactly why! Can't wait to be back on the same boat!

My first liveaboard, no-frills wonderful!
Our crew was amazing! They worked very hard through difficult weather and high seas to keep us safe and to give us the best time ever. They planned daily to find us the best sites with the calmest water and we still managed 18 dives. Special kudos to Sophia who prepared 3 delicious, hot meals a day despite being bounced around in the tiny galley. Ian, Gordon, Kelton, Annie and Sophia-Rita thank you for everything you did! It was an amazing trip.

My favorite vacation I have taken so far.
I felt as though through the numerous dives that I became more skilled. I had never night dived before and it was very beautiful. Everyone is very kind and generous to help me with anything I needed. Adjustments were made for my dietary needs and every day was honestly amazing.
