Highlights
The elegant Mutiara Laut is a unique 46m long and 9m wide liveaboard designed based on a traditional British schooner combined with elements of the Indonesian "phinisi." This classic 46m wooden yacht crafted to sail the far reaches of the vast archipelago, Mutiara Laut, underwent an extensive refit and a reinvention, emerging with a fresh take and elevating the quintessential Indonesian voyage. Mutiara Laut presents guests with a relaxed, luxurious elegance combining natural hues, glass, and contemporary Indonesian touches while focusing on space, optimal comfort, and privacy.
Meaning “Pearl of the Sea” in Indonesian. Mutiara Laut was carefully crafted based on a classic 18th-century North Atlantic Schooner with unique Indonesian touches. Seeing her two masts at full mast is a sight to behold and an experience of a lifetime. Its classic design features 7 well-appointed cabins, warm teak wood throughout, and ample indoor/outdoor space for guests to relax and enjoy Indonesia’s exotic beauty.
Mutiara Laut is a thoroughbred sailing liveaboard and was purposely designed and rigged to have true sailing capabilities. When all 7 sails are up, and the wind fills the 850m2 or 9,000 sq. ft. surface, Mutiara Laut will easily go close to 8 knots, allowing our guests to discover the natural beauty and splendor of even the remotest islands in safety and comfort at a smooth, leisurely pace.

Amazing Dive Trip on the fabulous Mutiara Laut
Diving in Raja Ampat aboard the Mutiara Laut was one of the best dive trips I have ever done. The ship is beautiful with spacious cabins and lots of room. There is even a separate toilet and shower. This crew was just fantastic. They wait on you hand and foot making sure you always have what you need to be comfortable. On the last day they provide a cookout on a beach of one of the small islands. They spend an hour raking the beach and setting out chairs with decorations and lights brought over from the ship. They sing and play instruments while you enjoy a freshly grilled dinner. It creates a magical atmosphere to enjoy your last evening. The food is basic but very good. I am mostly vegetarian and always had lots of tasty choices. The diving was spectacular. This ship was not built as a dive boat but that didn't matter at all. You never touch your gear anyway. The diving is done from 2 small pangas. You put your gear on from the little boat and take it off in the water so there is no lugging it around. They do offer nitrox but are still learning how to mix it and it ranged from 26 to 29 percent. They did not charge extra since the nitrox was not at 30 or higher. We never came close to deco anyway. The dive guide was superior at pointing out all the macro and other sealife and watched over me in heavy current dives. I really appreciated that even though I have over 1500 dives of experience. This is not a dive your brains out kind of boat. They offer 3 dives a day with a 4th night dive on three different nights. This worked out perfectly for a 12 day trip and we felt more relaxed and got in as much diving as the boats that offer 4-5 dives in a week. Overall I would highly recommend the Mutiara Laut. She and her crew, truly is the pearl of the sea.

Amazing Experience
Our first proper liveaboard experience and we were not disappointed. Komodo was every bit as stunning as we had been told it was and sailing around it on a boat as beautiful as Mutiara Laut, with a Crew as brilliant as we had was an absolute pleasure. Could not recommend highly enough. Hopefully see you in Raja Ampat soon!

Probably the best liveaboard I have done to date!
Water clarity was exceptional. The ever changing current made for some very interesting diving and the marine life was great. Proximity and multitude of mantas just fantastic. Local guides a necessity. The service and setup on the boat was phenomenal. This is not a 'dive crazy' boat although 4 dives a day is no problem. If you can afford it go for the master cabin - it is just lovely.

We had a fabulous holiday sailing around Indonesia on the Mutiara Laut.
Snorkeling the Cathedral cave in southern Raja Ampat was awesome. The fish schools in Raja Ampat were just amazing and so many surprises, never seen a red anemone before! Wall diving, bommies, drift diving, sea monoliths, coral gardens...so much to see. Plus the food was really great and lots of it.
