The MV Pawara is the flagship vessel of West Coast Divers. She underwent a re-fit in 2016, is ready for the coming season, and offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. At 35m long, she offers a choice of cabins to suit different budgets ranging from the master cabin on the main deck with en-suite bathrooms and sea views to budget cabins with shared bathrooms on the lower deck. The MV Pawara offers guests plenty of space for relaxation, either in the indoor lounge area with a flat-screen TV and DVD player, the top deck alfresco dining and bar area, or the sun deck on the top deck with ample space to soak up the rays and enjoy the views.
Due to the popularity of MV Pawara owing to their fantastic reputation, spaces sold out quite quickly, so West Coast divers decided to introduce the beautiful MV Sawasdee Fasai in 2016. At 37m in length, she accommodates up to 26 divers in 13 AC cabins. Again, to cater to different people, she offers cabins to suit various budgets. 2 master cabins and 5 deluxe are located on the main deck, each with en-suite bathrooms and sea views. On the lower deck are 4 standard cabins with en-suite bathrooms and 3 budget cabins that will share a bathroom. The lounge is on the upper deck and offers comfortable sofas, a flat-screen TV, and a DVD player. The outdoor covered dining area is also located on the upper deck and is a fantastic place to dine and enjoy the views. Located on the sun deck are comfortable loungers that offer a great place to relax, catch some rays, or just enjoy the sea breeze.
In each cabin on both MV Pawara and MV Sawasdee Fasai, guests will be provided with drinking water, 2 beach towels and 2 small towels, soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, blankets, an individual safe box, and international electric sockets.
Dive the Similan Islands
Both MV Pawara and MV Sawasdee Fasai offer the same fantastic itinerary of 4 nights cruising the Similan and Surin national marine parks. These trips are perfect no matter your certification level as dives can be tailored to your certification level, courses can be taken on board, and are available during the best season of November to May.
Your trip starts at approximately 7 pm when you are transferred to the vessel in time for dinner and an amazing Thai sunset. The boat then sets sail overnight to the Similan Islands, where you will wake up after a comfortable night's sleep to the smell of a cooked breakfast and stunning scenery.
The first dive of the trip is a nice easy one for you to get into the swing of things, but you’ll still have the chance to see the beautiful reefs and colorful marine life the Similan Islands are famous for! On diving days 1, 2, and 3, you can expect to do 3-day dives plus 1 sunset/night dive around the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and Richelieu Rock. On the final day, there will be 2 dives at either Koh Bon or Boon Soong Wreck before heading back to Phuket at approximately 4 pm.
For the avid diver, this trip offers 14 dives over 4 days. Still, if you’d rather spend some of your time relaxing and exploring, you can substitute some of your dives for beach trips where you can enjoy the pristine sandy beaches or climb the granite boulders that the Similans are famous for.
A liveaboard to the Similan Islands is not to be missed, and the experienced, professional, and friendly crew of the M/V Pawara and M/V Sawasdee Fasai are waiting to help you have a holiday to remember. Call us or book online today to start your adventure!
