Built in 1998 and restored in 2011/2012, the SY Meta IV has four cabins that can accommodate eight guests on any overnight trips. Made completely of Thai teak wood, she has an elegant appearance and a sturdy build and, at 25 metres long, she’s spacious. All cabins have a private bathroom and air conditioning, as well as natural lighting and stylish touches. Two cabins have twin beds whilst the other two have queen-sized beds. You can take your meals indoors in the air-conditioned saloon or outside at one of the roomy al fresco dining areas. All meals are provided, and the boat has a BBQ and ice cube making machine. You’ll find plenty of places to lie in the sunshine and relax as you sail along, the gentle sounds of the sea filling the air. Snorkelling equipment is available too.
The S/Y Meta IV offers small group cruises for five nights of discovery around the beautiful Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar / Burma. Explore the unspoilt and wildlife-rich national parks, enjoy snorkelling and diving in prime spots, meet local indigenous people and learn about the customs and traditions of the sea gypsies, and admire stunning views. Previously closed to tourism, the Mergui Archipelago is an area that has seen very few outside visitors. Home to around 800 islands and islets, just a handful are permanently inhabited. Sailing from Kawthaung, you’ll visit several of the area’s interesting islands before returning back to the mainland. Airport pickups are included. It is also possible to charter the SY Meta IV for a private cruise.

Es ist ein Privileg, in einer touristisch noch fast unberührten Natur die Inselweit zu erleben, mit ihrer Tierwelt, ihren Stränden und -last but not least - den freundlichen und zufrieden wirkenden Seenomaden und den Fischerfamilien in ihren einfachen Dörfern. Die vierköpfige Crew von Meta IV mit kompetenten und hilfsbreiten Captain und Engineer, mit einem hervorragenden (Sterne-)Koch und dem Tour Guide, der uns alles Sehenswerte dieses Archipels zeigen und fundiert erklären konnte, machte diesen Törn zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis.
